- Design, implement, maintain, and enhance commercial insurance program products and delegated authority contracts.
- Partner with various teams across Westland to develop competitive, profitable, and sustainable insurance products.
- Research competitor offerings and emerging market opportunities to inform product strategy.
- Define business, workflow, reporting, and documentation requirements, collaborating with stakeholders.
- Monitor product performance through KPI reporting and analysis, communicating insights and recommendations.
- Support product launches and ongoing enhancements through testing, training, issue resolution, and cross functional project coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in insurance product development
- 3+ years in commercial and/or specialty insurance underwriting or brokering
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, policy wordings, delegated authority arrangements, and product lifecycle management
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Self motivated and accountable, able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and related tools
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem solving skills

Role Overview
- Westland Insurance Group is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Programs Product Manager to join our Underwriting team.
- This role is ideal for someone passionate about insurance product development, delegated authority programs, and creating differentiated solutions.
- This is a hybrid position based out of our Surrey, BC head office.
Expected Compensation
- The expected hiring range for this role is CAD 80,000 to CAD 100,000 based on a 35 hour work week.
- Westland also offers a competitive annual short term incentive program.
