Role overview

Alpaca is hiring a Product Manager to own brokerage product expansion across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and wider GCC markets.

The role combines product strategy, delivery, regulatory engagement, market connectivity, partner integration, and operational workflow ownership.

The position supports products including equities, Sukuk, ETFs, derivatives, securities lending, and Sharia-compliant offerings.

Core responsibilities

  • Own brokerage products and regional product roadmaps for Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
  • Analyze ROI, competition, regulatory requirements, and build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Write product requirements and work with engineers to deliver compliant features.
  • Improve settlement, custody, clearing, and other brokerage operational workflows.
  • Lead customer calls and translate product issues into improvements.
  • Engage with CMA, Tadawul, Edaa, and other regional regulators.
  • Evaluate, onboard, and integrate local broker partners.
  • Own direct connectivity initiatives with Tadawul and regional infrastructure.
  • Report product status and results to stakeholders, partners, and institutional clients.
  • Coordinate integration between the global platform and KSA/GCC market infrastructure.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or an equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, consulting, and/or starting a startup.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in brokerage, capital markets, or fintech in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
  • Strong understanding of the CMA regulatory framework, Tadawul market structure, and GCC capital markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to evaluate stakeholder and technology tradeoffs within time and budget constraints.

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Experience developing brokerage products in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
  • Technical background with APIs in financial services or trading platforms.
  • CME-1 or another CMA-recognized professional certification.
  • Experience with Qualified Foreign Investor programs or cross-border investment products.
  • Familiarity with Sharia-compliant product structures and Islamic finance principles.
  • Experience at a fintech, startup, or CMA-authorized institution.
