Under the leadership and direction of the Procurement Department, this internship provides an opportunity to gain valuable purchasing, sourcing, product development, and supplier management experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
The Procurement team supports the purchase of complex components, assemblies, finished goods, and services for both new product development and manufacturing operations.
This role will provide support and customer service to internal cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with sourcing and corporate procedures.
The intern will assist with sourcing activities, supplier quoting, purchase order tracking, and monitoring of materials supporting products in development.
In addition, this role will contribute to process improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to reduce material and service costs throughout the division.

What You'll Do
Create, place, and expedite purchase orders to support product development and manufacturing activities
Monitor supplier deliveries and help ensure on-time performance
Assist with sourcing activities, supplier quoting, and vendor communications
Support cost reduction and continuous improvement projects
Perform Make vs. Buy analyses and present recommendations to management
Participate in process mapping activities and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
Support key audits throughout the semester
Analyze purchasing and operational data to support business decisions
Work within ERP/MRP systems, including JDE
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to support procurement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Supply Chain Management concentration preferred
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven recommendations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience with web-based applications and business systems is a plus
Strong interest in pursuing a career within the medical device industry

Approximately 20 hours per week
Regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Hybrid work schedule:
