Role Overview
Performs advanced to complex procurement tasks within the relevant field.
Purchases supplies and services from vendors according to company standards and specifications.
The position is described as advanced within its scope.
Responsibilities
- Prepare requests for proposals and analyze vendor quotes.
- Select vendors and schedule and expedite deliveries.
- Follow up on invoices received.
- Manage procurement activities for large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically 12+ years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing procurement activities on major infrastructure or engineering projects.
- CIPS, MCIPS, PMP, or supply chain and contract management certifications are highly desirable.
