Responsibilities
- Manage end to end procurement activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders
- Source goods and services, ensuring timely delivery in line with internal policies and budget requirements
- Evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Monitor market trends, analyze costs, and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand requirements, optimize procurement processes, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Strong skills in Procurement and managing Purchase Orders across multiple categories and projects
- Experience in Supplier Evaluation, including assessing vendor performance, quality, reliability, and risk
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, including pricing, terms, service levels, and long term agreements
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, compare bids, optimize costs, and support decision making
- Knowledge of procurement policies, compliance standards, and best practices within public or research focused organizations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field

Role Description
- The Procurement Specialist is a full time, on site role based in Abu Dhabi.
- This role is responsible for managing end to end procurement activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders, sourcing goods and services, and ensuring timely delivery in line with internal policies and budget requirements.
- The Procurement Specialist evaluates and selects suppliers, negotiates contracts and pricing, and maintains strong vendor relationships to support TRENDS’ operational and research needs.
- The role also involves monitoring market trends, analyzing costs, and maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation.
- The Procurement Specialist collaborates with internal departments to understand requirements, optimize procurement processes, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Procurement and managing Purchase Orders across multiple categories and projects.
- Experience in Supplier Evaluation, including assessing vendor performance, quality, reliability, and risk.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, including pricing, terms, service levels, and long term agreements.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, compare bids, optimize costs, and support decision making.

- Experience working in the UAE or similar regulatory environments is beneficial.
