About the Role
TRENDS Group is seeking an experienced Human Rights Lawyer / Legal Expert to provide legal expertise on human rights, institutional governance, and compliance with UAE and international laws.

Responsibilities
- Review the current Internal Human Rights Complaints Policy.
- Prepare a database of all UAE legal commitments in accordance with ratified and signed regional and international treaties.
- Draft legal responses to human rights claims and related draft laws.
- Provide general legal advocacy on all human rights matters.
- Draft legal documents, governmental institutional documents, strategies, and action plans.
- Draft and review internal policies and guidelines.
- Draft HR related structures, including Employees' Salary Grids, KPIs, and other governance documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports, and analytical documents.
- Provide legal advice on federal and local employment laws.
- Ensure compliance with UAE constitutional, public, and human rights laws, as well as International Human Rights Law.
- Support institutional reform and legal development initiatives.
- Provide legal guidance on matters relating to UAE Government regulations and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 10 years of professional legal experience, preferably within government, semi government, national human rights institutions, or international organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in human rights law, constitutional law, public law, and administrative law.
- Experience in drafting legislation, institutional policies, governance frameworks, and legal documentation.
- Experience working with UAE Government entities is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting institutional reform and governance initiatives is an advantage.

Job Purpose
- Provide legal expertise and advisory services on human rights, institutional governance, legal compliance, and policy development. The role supports the Institution by ensuring compliance with UAE laws, international human rights obligations, and institutional legal requirements.

Qualifications
- Experience in drafting governmental institutional documents, strategies, and action plans.
- Experience with the UAE Government.
- Expertise in institutional reform and development.
- Proven experience in drafting internal policies and guidelines.
- Proven experience in drafting HR related structures, including Employees' Salary Grids, KPIs, and governance documents.
- Strong knowledge of human rights, constitutional, and public laws.
- Strong experience in UAE human rights activities and laws.
- Full awareness of International Human Rights Law.
- Full awareness of federal and local employment laws.
- Proven experience in legal research, legal writing, and analytical work.
Experience
