Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project requirements, ensuring materials and services are sourced at the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and subcontractors through market research, pre qualification, and performance assessments.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance with quality and contractual standards.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, RFQs, and tender documents in coordination with the technical and project management teams.
  • Track and monitor purchase requisitions, orders, and deliveries to ensure timely material availability at project sites.
  • Maintain and update the supplier and vendor database, including performance records, pricing history, and approved material lists.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project specifications; maintain complete documentation for audits and ISO/client reviews.
  • Coordinate with project, site, and finance departments to secure material approvals, verify invoices, and ensure proper budget allocation.
  • Analyze market trends and cost fluctuations to forecast procurement risks and propose cost optimization strategies.
  • Review material submittents, samples, and technical data to confirm compliance with engineering and consultant requirements before procurement.
  • Manage logistics and delivery coordination to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective measures for delays, quality issues, or contractual non compliance.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with construction materials, MEP equipment, and both local and international suppliers.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel) ; experience with procurement tracking tools preferred.
  • Strong ability to negotiate terms, build relationships, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze supplier performance, market pricing, and cost variations.
  • Valid UAE driving license required for supplier visits, site coordination, and local procurement activities.
  • Reliable, organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple procurement tasks under tight deadlines
