We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer with strong expertise in international import purchasing, particularly in the procurement of spare parts for European heavy trucks. The role is responsible for managing the complete procurement process, sourcing and negotiating with international
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement process for imported spare parts.
- Source and negotiate with international suppliers, especially European suppliers.
- Purchase spare parts for European heavy trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers.
- Handle import documentation and coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs clearance teams.
- Monitor shipments, delivery schedules, and order status.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, freight costs, and delivery conditions.
- Maintain supplier relationships and identify reliable new suppliers.
- Ensure timely availability of required spare parts while maintaining competitive pricing.
- Coordinate with the warehouse, sales, and operations teams to meet spare-parts requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in international import purchasing, particularly in the procurement of spare parts for European heavy trucks
- Strong expertise in sourcing and negotiating with international suppliers, especially European suppliers
- Ability to handle import documentation and coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs clearance teams
- Proficiency in managing the complete procurement process for imported spare parts
