MTQ Engineering LLC is seeking a Procurement Manager / Supervisor to oversee purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and timely procurement of goods and services.
The role supports operational excellence, cost efficiency, supplier partnerships, and business operations.
Procurement responsibilities
- Manage daily procurement and purchasing activities, including sourcing, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement requests.
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain suitable pricing, quality, service, payment terms, and supply agreements.
- Monitor inventory, delivery schedules, supplier performance, budgets, expenses, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, finance, and other departments to support business needs.
- Resolve supplier issues, delivery delays, and procurement discrepancies while maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Identify alternative suppliers, monitor market trends, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards.
- Lead, supervise, and support procurement team members where applicable.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, inventory management, or a related field is required.
- Experience as a procurement manager, procurement supervisor, purchasing executive, purchasing manager, supply chain executive, buyer, or similar position is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, purchasing, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain operations, inventory management, budgeting, cost control, and procurement compliance is relevant.
- Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications or working experience in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field are preferred.
