Role Summary
Oversee sourcing and acquisition of goods and services required for organizational operations.
Develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor market trends, budgets, compliance, and procurement performance to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate supply strategies and align stakeholders.
- Lead savings and operating cash flow programs across assigned categories, clusters, or business units.
- Manage supplier relationships, external networks, and strategic partnerships.
- Make timely decisions balancing analysis with decisiveness.
- Manage and optimize financial and budgetary requirements.
- Identify metrics, tools, and processes to improve sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiency.
- Evaluate challenges, mitigate risks, and develop business opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement, work simplification, and operational excellence in strategic sourcing.
- Lead procurement teams and provide direction to build high-performing teams.
- Support HSE initiatives, safety awareness, and incident reporting and resolution.
Job Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth understanding of sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation skills for favorable supplier terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Analytical ability to assess supplier performance, conduct cost analysis, and identify savings opportunities.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required.
Experience and Education
- Minimum 8 years of work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
- Professional qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics, or a related technical certificate.
