The role oversees purchasing, supplier management, inventory planning, and supply chain operations for an Abu Dhabi-based technology company.
The position is responsible for timely and cost-effective goods availability, supplier performance, inventory levels, and end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
Employment and Compensation
- The employment type is full-time.
- The stated salary is AED 12,000–15,000 per month, all-inclusive.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with operational and commercial objectives.
- Manage sourcing, purchasing, demand planning, inventory control, and supplier performance.
- Source, evaluate, select, and manage local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, service levels, and supply agreements.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure goods are delivered on schedule.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, logistics, finance, and operations teams on demand planning.
- Monitor stock levels and balance product availability against inventory costs.
- Analyze forecasts, consumption patterns, lead times, and market conditions.
- Minimize shortages, excess inventory, obsolete stock, and supply disruptions.
- Evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, delivery reliability, and service.
- Identify optimization opportunities and develop contingency plans for supply risks.
- Maintain records, ensure compliance, prepare budgets and reports, and lead the procurement team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5–7 years of procurement and supply chain experience, including two years in a managerial role.
- Knowledge of sourcing, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience in contract negotiation, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization.
- Experience with local and international suppliers.
- Proficiency in ERP, procurement, inventory-management, and reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, commercial, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- CIPS, CSCP, or CPSM certification is an advantage.
- Technology industry and UAE market experience is preferred.
- Ability to use Odoo for procurement and related operational workflows.
