Procurement Manager

Job Purpose

Procurement Leadership

• Propose innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies that improve business performance.
• Deliver competitive, cost-effective, and low-risk bid awards.
• Manage procurement policies and procedures within the assigned portfolio.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the procurement team.

Process Management

• Lead complex negotiations and resolve issues affecting tender and contract completion.
• Identify tender and contractual risks and recommend mitigation plans.
• Coordinate audit requirements and implement corrective actions.
• Manage RFQ/RFP development, tendering activities, bid evaluations, and procurement administration.
• Review service contracts, KPIs, SLAs, contract variations, renewals, terminations, transfers, and price reviews.
• Analyze procurement expenditure, purchasing activity, and sourcing performance.

Business Strategy

• Lead procurement best practices, benchmarking initiatives, and technology adoption.
• Promote cost management through efficiencies and effective contractual arrangements.
• Oversee supplier contract reporting and spend analysis.
• Identify alternative suppliers, products, materials, and services to improve value and performance.
• Align procurement activities with current and future business requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with technical, legal, finance, HSE, and operational teams.
• Coordinate procurement planning and workload distribution with department heads.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier and business relationships.
• Support procurement policies, processes, and strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, preferably Supply Chain Management.
• MCIPS or an equivalent professional procurement certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of professional procurement experience within a regional or global organization.
• Previous experience managing procurement teams.
• Strong expertise in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, customer relationship management, and supply chain management.
