Procurement & Logistics Coordinator – Construction & Building Projects

Job Purpose

Procurement and Material Sourcing

• Coordinate end-to-end procurement and logistics activities for construction and building projects.
• Review project material requirements and source materials, equipment, tools, and other project needs.
• Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and prepare purchase requests and purchase orders.

Supplier and Logistics Coordination

• Maintain relationships with suppliers, transport companies, warehouse teams, and project personnel.
• Follow up on availability, lead times, production, dispatch, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate deliveries to multiple UAE project sites, including urgent and last-minute requirements.

Order Tracking and Project Coordination

• Track purchase orders, material requests, and deliveries and provide updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with site and project teams to meet material specifications, quantities, and timelines.
• Monitor stock availability and coordinate material allocation, replenishment, and movement between warehouses and project sites.
• Resolve procurement, supplier, transportation, delivery, and material-related issues.

Documentation and Reporting

• Verify purchase orders, delivery notes, material receipts, and supplier invoices.
• Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, logistics, and delivery records.
• Prepare reports on pending orders, expected deliveries, supplier performance, material status, and potential delays.

Compliance and Cost Optimization

• Ensure procurement and logistics activities comply with company policies, approved budgets, project requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Identify alternative suppliers, competitive quotations, and efficient logistics solutions.
• Handle multiple project requirements and prioritize urgent needs based on project schedules and site requirements.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of procurement, logistics, or materials coordination experience within the UAE construction or contracting industry.
• Construction and building materials experience is highly preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, procurement processes, and UAE suppliers.
• Experience with material deliveries, logistics, project schedules, purchase orders, quotations, delivery documentation, and site material requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, coordination, time-management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Working Environment

• The role is project-site based.
• The position coordinates with project managers, site teams, procurement, finance, warehouse, operations, management, suppliers, contractors, transport companies, and logistics providers.
