About the Role
Baraka Development is seeking a Procurement Engineer with 5-8 years of UAE construction procurement experience to manage procurement planning, supplier coordination, RFQs, and purchase orders for a fast-track building project in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a detailed procurement schedule/tracker linked directly to the master project programme
- Track long lead items such as elevators, RMU, transformers, HVAC, fire alarm, pumps, aluminum, sanitary ware, tiles, pergolas, pool equipment, and smart locks
- Follow up with local and international suppliers to guarantee on time delivery commitments
- Issue RFQs and obtain highly competitive quotations from established vendors
- Prepare technical commercial comparisons for review by the management team
- Coordinate closely with the storekeeper and site engineering teams for material delivery and reconciliation
- Manage material submittals and drive quick turnaround approval times with the consultant
- Maximize procurement cost savings while maintaining compliance with project specifications
Requirements
- 5–8 years of UAE construction procurement experience is mandatory
- Solid background handling MEP, finishing packages, and specialist long lead items for building projects
- Strong technical understanding of building material specifications and material approval workflows
- Excellent negotiation, commercial reporting, and supplier management skills
- Possess an extensive, active supplier and manufacturer network within the UAE

Job Summary
- The Procurement Engineer will manage procurement planning, supplier coordination, RFQs, commercial comparisons, material submittals, and purchase orders.
- The core focus of this role is controlling the delivery schedule of long lead items to prevent any disruption to the fast track timeline.
Job Responsibilities
- Sourcing & SCM Tracking: Prepare and maintain a detailed procurement schedule/tracker linked directly to the master project programme.
- Track long lead items such as elevators, RMU, transformers, HVAC, fire alarm, pumps, aluminum, sanitary ware, tiles, pergolas, pool equipment, and smart locks.
- Follow up with local and international suppliers to guarantee on time delivery commitments.
- RFQs & Commercial Comparisons: Issue RFQs and obtain highly competitive quotations from established vendors.

Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 5–8 years of UAE construction procurement experience is mandatory.

- Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding of building material specifications and material approval workflows.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, commercial reporting, and supplier management skills.
- Network Asset: Possess an extensive, active supplier and manufacturer network within the UAE.
