Role Overview
The Process Setup Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient setup of molds and the operation of various injection molding machines to ensure quality and safety. The role involves day-to-day technical support on the production floor, aimed at achieving process capability, reliability, and efficiency. This position collaborates with other departments, such as maintenance, automation, and quality, to drive continuous improvement and exceed daily KPI targets (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Labor & Costs).

***This position is for 3rd shift***
Led by the Process Engineer & Shift Leadhand, the Process Set-Up Technician is involved with all aspects of the injection molding process, including setup, troubleshooting, training, equipment maintenance, auxiliary & workstation setup, and workflow.
Job Summary
The Process Setup Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient setup of molds and the operation of various injection molding machines to ensure quality and safety. The role involves day-to-day technical support on the production floor, aimed at achieving process capability, reliability, and efficiency. This position collaborates with other departments, such as maintenance, automation, and quality, to drive continuous improvement and exceed daily KPI targets (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Labor & Costs).
Job Responsibilities
- · Proficiently start up, shut down, set up, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
- · Prepare, install, and remove molds and tooling according to the production schedule. Ensure that molds are set up correctly, and materials are available and prepared as needed.
