Carrier is a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, committed to creating safe, sustainable, and high-performance environments. We are seeking a Process Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing facility in Athens, GA .
This role is a hands-on, plant-based position responsible for improving product and process quality, driving operational excellence, and supporting production teams. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Service teams to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive scrap reduction and improve first-pass yield (FPY) across manufacturing processes
- Support daily production activities, including defect resolution and non-conforming material management
- Perform Gemba walks and partner with production teams to review quality metrics and resolve issues in real time
- Lead and participate in cross-functional improvement projects focused on process reliability and product quality
- Investigate and resolve customer claims and field issues, ensuring feedback is integrated into manufacturing processes
- Conduct process audits and internal ISO audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
