Role Overview
Support process engineering activities during EPC and startup through handover to the permanent asset.
Ensure project deliverables meet operations expectations for safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Participate in RCFA, HAZOP, FRA, HAZID, SIL verification, and process safety and reliability activities.
- Develop standard operating procedures and process surveillance tools for new projects and operations assets.
- Troubleshoot surveillance deviations, provide engineering recommendations, and escalate threats promptly.
- Participate in system completion walk-downs before commissioning and startup, including chemical or catalyst loading witnessing.
- Maintain issue registers and resolve critical issues, including new technology risks affecting reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines and support project tie-in requirements.
- Support high-risk commissioning through system surveillance, system tuning and optimization, and advice to operations and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Experience supporting process engineering, commissioning, startup, and asset handover activities.
Compensation
- Day rate in USD plus allowance.
Schedule and Duration
- Work schedule is 10 hours per day, 6 days per week.
- Project duration is 15 to 24 months, with possible extension.
Workplace
- Location is Qatar onshore.
