Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop process safety related drawings and layouts, including escape route layouts, fire & gas detection layouts, firewater system layouts, hazardous area classification drawings, and safety equipment location plans
- Ensure designs are compliant with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and relevant international codes
- Support engineers by translating technical process safety input into design deliverables
- Coordinate and collaborate with process, piping, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines
- Incorporate findings from safety studies (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, FERA, EERA) into design drawings
- Revise and update drawings based on engineering reviews, client comments, and internal markups
- Maintain drawing quality, clarity, and consistency throughout the project phases
- Support deliverable tracking and document control processes
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Engineering Design or Drafting
- Minimum 8 years of experience in drafting/design for process safety within the oil and gas industry
- Strong experience in FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering for onshore oil and gas projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software
- Familiar with ADNOC and international standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, API)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams
