Responsibilities
- Design and engineering of HVAC systems for industrial facilities in EPC projects
- Design Direct Expansion (DX) systems: split units, packaged units, precision cooling
- Design Chilled Water systems: AHUs, FCUs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps
- Design Ventilation systems for hazardous and classified areas
- Design Pressurization systems for control buildings and substations
- Preparation of HVAC Design Basis documents
- Prepare HVAC Specifications and Design Reports
- Perform HVAC Calculations including heat load, cooling load, and system sizing
- Develop HVAC Control Philosophy and Control Narratives
- Create Cause & Effects (C&E) documentation
- Perform Duct and pipe sizing with pressure drop calculations
- Interdisciplinary coordination for HVAC document preparation (Civil, Electrical, Process, Instrumentation)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in HVAC engineering within EPC environments
- Prior experience with Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power sector projects preferred
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Elite HVAC, AutoCAD, Revit MEP)
- Strong knowledge of international standards: ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IEC
- Experience with area classification (ATEX/IECEx) HVAC design
- Excellent technical writing and document preparation skills
- Strong interdisciplinary coordination and communication abilities
- Ability to work in fast paced EPC project environments with tight deadlines
