- Lead technical delivery of bridge/structure designs on multiple projects
- Conduct technical reviews and quality checking prior to submission
- Deliver high quality and technically sound structure designs
- Identify opportunities for innovative solutions and value engineering
- Plan, allocate and coordinate resources to execute design commissions
- Liaise with project managers and other discipline leads to manage schedules
- Meet with clients and approving authorities to present and discuss designs
- Provide clear direction to the design team
- Report to Technical Director and Team Leader on delivery and staffing
- Support Technical Director on recruitment and people management

- Experience in leading design delivery of bridges and transportation structures

Overview
- Parsons is looking for a Principal Structural Design Engineer to lead design delivery of bridges and other transportation structures on multiple high profile projects.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading Technical Delivery of Bridge / Structure designs on multiple projects in parallel.
- Leading Technical Reviews of the team's work, including Quality checking prior to submission.
- Delivering high quality and technically sound structure designs.
- Identifying opportunities for Innovative solutions and Value Engineering.
- Planning, allocating and coordinating resources to execute our design commissions.
- Liaison with Project Managers and other Discipline Leads to manage delivery schedules, information flow, and inter disciplinary interfaces.
- Setting and agreeing priorities with Project Managers and Technical Managers.
- Meeting with Clients and Approving Authorities to present and discuss design matters and obtain Approvals.
- Providing clear direction to the design team and ensuring expectations and priorities are understood.
- Reporting to the Technical Director and Team Leader on delivery, staffing and utilization.
- Supporting the Technical Director on recruitment and people management within the team.
