Principal Software Engineer

Technical Leadership

• Set mobile architecture standards and guide decisions across native platforms, cross-platform frameworks, shared libraries, backend integration, security, and observability.
• Act as a technical escalation point for performance, reliability, offline behavior, OS compatibility, release quality, and integration problems.
• Coordinate architecture, execution, dependencies, risk mitigation, release planning, and cross-team alignment.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, architecture reviews, and design discussions.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including significant hands-on mobile engineering experience.
• Experience delivering large, complex mobile applications or platform capabilities.
• Experience modernizing legacy mobile applications and delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping iOS and Android applications with cross-platform mobile development experience.
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools and AI-driven engineering practices.
• Hands-on technical leadership, engineer mentoring, independent project leadership, stakeholder coordination, and technical risk management.

Required Technical Skills

• Expert mobile engineering across iOS and Android, including strong Swift and Kotlin proficiency.
• Experience with React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, .NET MAUI, or an equivalent cross-platform framework.
• Deep knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, identity providers, telemetry, crash reporting, and analytics.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, LLM-powered experiences, validation, and responsible AI guardrails.
• Strong understanding of mobile security, authentication, authorization, privacy, encryption, certificate pinning, and OWASP Mobile risks.
• Experience with mobile testing, CI/CD, build automation, signing, provisioning, app store releases, observability, and production monitoring.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, plus proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.

Quality and Engineering Practices

• Strong understanding of production-quality code, performance tuning, reliability engineering, accessibility, and user-centered mobile design.
• Nice-to-have experience includes shared mobile libraries, SDKs, design systems, offline-first applications, observability, regulated applications, event streaming, or AI-powered mobile features.
