Purpose
Provide technical stewardship of design projects and ensure compliance with contract, code, and legislation on HSE and process safety matters.
Support safety and risk design for offshore oil and gas engineering projects.
Technical responsibilities
- Manage projects and produce deliverables on time and within budget.
- Prepare proposals, man-hour estimates, and execution methodologies.
- Identify, plan, and implement project HSE requirements.
- Assist the Lead Engineer with project management duties.
- Prepare project HSE plans, HSE or loss-prevention philosophies, and fire and gas philosophy documents.
- Coordinate HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, PHSER, 3D model, and other technical reviews.
- Review design documents across disciplines for HSE compliance and hazards.
- Prepare hazardous-area and passive fire protection schedules and layouts.
- Prepare fire and gas detection philosophies, cause-and-effect documents, layouts, and specifications.
- Prepare active and passive fire protection design deliverables.
- Design firewater systems, including hydraulic analysis, P&IDs, deluge, foam, and sprinkler systems.
Safety, risk, and compliance
- Adopt ADNOC Offshore engineering practices or recognized offshore engineering practices for safety and risk design.
