Principal Learning Designer

A degree with at least four years of subsequent relevant experience in learning design, educational development, curriculum design, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.

Demonstrated understanding of how students learn, with experience developing innovative learning, teaching and assessment approaches across online, blended or classroom environments.

Experience using contemporary Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard or Moodle at a designer, administrator or advanced user level.

Proven ability to lead learning design projects, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.

A self-driven and proactive approach, with the ability to work autonomously, identify opportunities and engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored learning solutions.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide strategic and practical advice on pedagogical and educational technology matters.

Experience developing learning resources, tools, templates or processes that enhance the quality and efficiency of teaching and learning.

A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with learning design colleagues across the University, contributing to a broader community of practice.
