About the role
NIQ is seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Computing Engineer in Chennai.
The role leads multi-cloud design, implementation, optimization, strategy, architecture, and automation across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
The position serves as a technical authority focused on scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade cloud architectures across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Implement Python- and Git-based automation for CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Define multi-cloud deployment, governance, and cost optimization best practices.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain regulatory standards.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and cloud platform issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Influence enterprise cloud adoption strategies and roadmap planning.
