About the Role
Capital One is looking for a Principal Associate, Software Engineer to spearhead iOS development for International Card Tech. You will build features using SwiftUI and reactive programming, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of iOS features, with a focus on leveraging SwiftUI and reactive programming, to fulfill Capital One Travel objectives
- Partner with fellow Software Engineers, UX/UI, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences
- Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality
- Be an active advocate of the mobile platform through both internal and external developer communities
- Remain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, 3rd party libraries, etc.)
- Influence and contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team
- Mentor junior to mid level members of the team
- Actively engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)
- Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects
- Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams
- Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions
- Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 2 years of experience building iOS applications
- At least 2 years of experience with Swift
- Bachelor's, Master’s or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience building iOS applications
- 3+ years of experience with Swift
- 1+ years of experience with SwiftUI
- 1+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 1+ years of experience with Agile practices

Basic Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 2 years of experience building iOS applications
- At least 2 years of experience with Swift

- 3+ years of experience building iOS applications

Salary
- The expected annual salary range for this position is CAD 134,400 CAD 153,300.
- This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es).
