Responsibilities
- Provide acquisition and program support to a NAVSEA Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
- Lead and oversee acquisition management activities related to the delivery, integration, and tracking of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) for Navy ship platforms and systems
- Monitor and report on equipment delivery status, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to support successful program execution
- Support program planning, documentation, milestone preparation, and stakeholder coordination across government and industry partners
- Analyze schedules, cost estimates, and performance data to ensure alignment with program goals and requirements
- Provide acquisition support in accordance with DoD 5000 series and NAVSEA acquisition processes
- Develop and present briefings, reports, and deliverables to senior leadership within the PEO and supporting program offices
- Serve as a liaison between technical and programmatic stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in program management and acquisition strategy
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of program/project management experience in DoD/Navy acquisition
- Understanding of Navy/defense acquisition policies, processes, equipment integration, and program life-cycle program support
- Experience delivering GFE and CFE and combat systems for new construction and sustainment programs
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include experience preparing formal reports and briefings for senior government officials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and program tracking tools
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
