School Overview

  • Compass International School Doha was established in 2006 to provide a premium British education to expatriate and local Qatari families.
  • We have three campuses; Al Themaid and Madinat Khalifa educate students from Early Years through to Secondary, Gharaffa is a stand alone Primary campus for children aged 3 11.
  • All campuses offer a bespoke British curriculum. Secondary students can select from IGCSEs, AS and A levels, and the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Our school has Qatar National Schools Accreditation (QNSA) and is a member of BSME, COBIS and AoBSO.

About You

  • Able to adapt quickly to our fast paced international environment.
  • Possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and ideally, two years of teaching experience.
  • Committed and creative, reflective on your own practice to provide memorable learning experiences.
  • Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, a fitting ambassador for the school.
  • Communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations.
  • Able to meet visa related restrictions for Qatar, including a bachelor’s degree in education or degree plus PGCE/QTS, gained through face to face study at a bricks and mortar institution.

Essential Experience / Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education
  • A teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE/PGDE)

Desirable

  • Two years of teaching experience
  • Range of teaching experience across different year groups
  • Good working knowledge of the English National Curriculum
  • Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
  • Teaching within International Schools
