Prevention Services Coordinator

As part of the Targeted Prevention Services team, you will report to the Manager of Community and Youth Development and play a vital role in planning and delivering targeted prevention groups and services.

Your work will directly impact the lives of children, youth (Birth to 18 years), and families across Halton.

This position offers opportunities to develop innovative programming and facilitate group offerings at various ROCK hubs, main sites, and community locations.

This is an existing vacancy and this is a contract position with an end date of May 31, 2027.

Who we’re looking for:

• Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Care or equivalent
• Lived experience in the BIPOC community.
• A minimum 1 year of experience working in a community-based environment. Preferably, providing groups/workshops/education to children, youth and/or families
• Demonstrated experience in targeted prevention implementation and development
• Familiarity with client-data management, screening and evaluation tools
• Must obtain and maintain a valid CPR/First Aid Certificate and UMAB Certification
• A current Criminal Reference Check with vulnerable sector search
• An ability to work flexible hours according to program need (this may include evenings or weekend work)
• Proficient in the use of technology and working from a virtual environment as required of the position. MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
