Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
Check and record gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface requirement and ensure compliance with customer and production requirements
Setup the press including dies and alignment of part and scrap chutes/conveyors
Setup the press/levelers/flattener to the proper program or required parameters
Thread coil thru leveler/flattener, feed unit
Monitor condition of blanks to ensure compliance with customer requirements and production instructions
Adjust press setup as needed for quality
Setup skids on the parts conveyors to ensure no disruption of production
Remove scrap from press and empty hoppers as necessary
Assist maintenance to troubleshoot malfunctions or complete preventative maintenance as necessary
Assist press packager as needed
Communicate non-compliance or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead
Clean and maintain housekeeping of press area
