Position Overview
Oversee the full pre-construction lifecycle, including design coordination, value engineering, procurement, and subcontract awards.
Combine design fluency with commercial and negotiation expertise in a multi-city role requiring regular travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and interior designers to meet client intent, building codes, and safety standards.
- Oversee Interior Design department deliverables and implementation of company design standards.
- Direct pre-construction schedules, resource allocation, workflows, and handoffs to construction teams.
- Lead procurement, value engineering, subcontractor bidding, negotiations, and contract awards.
- Track supply-chain conditions and lead times and incorporate them into project planning.
- Set design standards and review drawings for alignment with company requirements.
- Collaborate on amenity and suite specifications and hand off project data, risks, and schedules.
- Travel regularly between project sites and city offices.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in pre-construction management, estimating, construction management, or design coordination.
- Education in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
