- Ensure high quality project delivery, client satisfaction, and effective resource planning

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional registration preferred
- Approximately 20+ years of progressively responsible experience in consulting or the public sector, including leadership experience
- Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and practice growth
- Strong operational and financial management skills
- Established relationships within the Southern California transportation market
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills

Job Summary
- TYLin is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial City Solutions Practice Manager to lead and grow our Los Angeles transportation planning and advisory practice.
- As part of TYLin's Advisory & Planning business, the City Solutions practice delivers multimodal transportation planning, traffic engineering, and mobility innovation while partnering across the firm's Transportation, Water, and Buildings sectors.
- The Practice Manager will drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, oversee project delivery, and lead a high performing team.
Business Development & Client Leadership
- Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies to achieve annual sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify new market opportunities.
- Lead pursuits, including teaming, proposals, interviews, pricing strategies, and go/no go decisions.
- Partner with Practice, Sector, and Area Leaders to grow TYLin's presence in the Southern California market.
Project Delivery
- Serve as Project Principal or Project Manager on strategic projects.
- Ensure high quality project delivery, client satisfaction, and effective resource planning.
- Promote quality assurance and technical excellence across the practice.
Operations & Team Leadership
- Manage regional financial performance, including revenue, utilization, profitability, and forecasting.
- Oversee business planning and operating budgets.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain top talent while fostering a collaborative, high performing culture.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional registration preferred.

Additional Information
- Base compensation range of $216,000 – $260,000 annually for this position and local market.
