Job Description
Support delivery of a major ADNOC Offshore PMC project by ensuring activities comply with ADNOC requirements, project specifications, international standards, and the Project Quality Management System.
Work with the PMC Lead QA/QC Engineer and project teams to monitor contractor performance, conduct surveillance, participate in audits and inspections, and implement quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement project quality requirements and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, specifications, contracts, and international codes.
- Review contractor QA/QC plans, ITPs, procedures, method statements, and quality documentation.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Conduct audits, inspections, assessments, surveillance, vendor audits, factory acceptance tests, and inspection release activities.
- Track KPIs, NCRs, observations, concessions, deviations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Review vendor records, inspection reports, material certificates, and test records.
- Monitor welding, NDT, coating, painting, material traceability, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain quality records and compile quality dossiers and handover documentation.
- Identify quality risks, support mitigation, participate in reviews and lessons learned, and escalate significant concerns.
- Coordinate quality matters with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, HSE, ADNOC, contractors, vendors, and inspection agencies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, predominantly in the oil and gas industry.
- Significant offshore oil and gas project experience.
- Experience in a PMC, EPCM, or EPC environment.
- Previous experience as a Senior QA/QC Engineer on major offshore projects.
- Experience monitoring QA/QC activities across large multidisciplinary projects and multiple contractors.
- Strong knowledge of offshore engineering, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning quality requirements.
- Experience with quality audits, inspection programs, ITP implementation, NCR management, and corrective action processes.
Standards and Competencies
- Knowledge of relevant ISO, ASME, API, AWS, and NACE/AMPP requirements.
- Good understanding of Project Quality Management Systems and contractor quality assurance processes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, interpersonal, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify quality issues, drive resolutions, work independently, and operate in multicultural, high-pressure environments.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, operational excellence, reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous ADNOC project experience is highly desirable.
- Offshore experience and relevant offshore certifications or training are advantageous.
Project Environment
- Quality surveillance may take place at fabrication yards, construction sites, installation locations, and offshore work fronts.
- The role interfaces with ADNOC Offshore representatives, EPC contractors, vendors, and third-party inspection agencies.
