Job summary
HM Revenue & Customs is seeking an experienced Platform Product Owner for its Taxes, Benefits & Enterprise Operations Platform Team.
The role supports critical national tax infrastructure and corporate IT services during a major SAP modernisation programme.
The platform is moving from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA on Sovereign Cloud infrastructure.
Role description
- Act as an engineering manager for the SAP S/4HANA migration from the legacy TRM platform running on R3.
- Define and drive the roadmap for a platform aligned with broader organisational strategy.
- Own delivery outcomes that improve speed, reliability, security, reuse, and cost optimisation.
- Ensure platform capabilities are secure by default, scalable, and easy for teams to consume.
- Build engineering capability to deliver Level 5 to Level 3 change requests in-house.
- Make prioritisation decisions and manage dependencies within the product area.
- Use metrics, usage data, and feedback to assess performance and inform decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Create and drive the S/4HANA migration roadmap across discovery, design, development, testing, and deployment.
