Platform Operations Engineer (Work Timings :- 03:00 AM IST to 11:30 AM IST )

Job purpose

Key responsibilities

• Deliver modular, secure, and reusable Terraform infrastructure components backed by automation pipelines and telemetry.
• Implement Kubernetes, ingress, networking, observability, data services, and identity integrations as standardized platform building blocks.
• Embed logging, metrics, and alerting into platform components.
• Integrate IAM boundaries, encryption, audit readiness, and other security and compliance requirements into delivery pipelines.
• Develop internal APIs, CLI tools, and service wrappers that simplify infrastructure use.
• Maintain and evolve platform components through versioning, lifecycle policies, and telemetry-driven refactoring.
• Create documentation, usage examples, and onboarding guides.
• Participate in planning, refinement, and technical review sessions.
• Mentor and enable Cloud Operations team members.
• Use AI-enabled tools in accordance with company governance and data privacy standards.

Required qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in infrastructure delivery or platform engineering in a cloud-native environment.
• Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, with working knowledge of CI/CD such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience developing tooling or platform components with Java, C#, C++, or another higher-level programming language.
• Strong understanding of Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, including cluster provisioning and workload identity.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security and policy as code.
• Scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with logs, metrics, traces, and observability practices.
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills with a product mindset.
• Skills in prompting AI systems, assessing output quality, and leveraging AI for departmental needs.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building internal platforms, golden paths, or self-service developer experiences.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows.
• Exposure to policy-as-code frameworks and hardening standards such as CIS benchmarks.
• Experience integrating compliance into infrastructure delivery in regulated environments such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
• Understanding of platform SLOs, error budgets, operational maturity models, and infrastructure lifecycle thinking.
