Overview
- The MEP Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules related to MEP works.
- The role requires strong coordination with project teams and authorities to ensure timely execution while complying with Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements.
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop detailed project schedules for MEP works using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
- Prepare baseline programs in alignment with overall project timelines.
- Monitor progress and update schedules regularly, highlighting delays and risks.
- Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare recovery plans and revised schedules when required.
Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with MEP engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Align MEP schedules with civil and architectural activities.
- Support project management in decision making using planning data.
- Liaise with subcontractors to track performance and progress.
Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports including earned value analysis.
- Provide delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) claims, and mitigation strategies.
- Present planning updates to stakeholders and senior management.
