Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced

Planning Engineer

  • with a strong background in
  • jack‑up and semi‑submersible rig construction, refurbishment, or major upgrades

  • The successful candidate will support end-to-end planning and scheduling activities for complex offshore rig projects, ensuring effective project control from engineering through commissioning.
  • The role will be based in Saudi Arabia.

  • Roles & responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize

  • Plan and track project phases including: Hull & leg construction (jack‑ups), Pontoon, column, and deck box fabrication (semi‑subs), Structural steel, piping, E&I, mechanical completion and Commissioning, testing, and offshore readiness
  • Interface closely with engineering, procurement, fabrication, marine, and construction teams to ensure schedule accuracy
  • Perform
  • critical path and float analysis
  • , progress measurement, and schedule risk assessments
  • Monitor fabrication yard and offshore progress, identifying slippages and mitigation actions
  • Prepare weekly and monthly
  • planning and progress reports
  • , S-curves, manpower histograms, and dashboards

  • , delay analysis, and claims-related schedule narratives
  • Participate in project reviews, progress meetings, and coordination workshops
  • Ensure alignment with company project controls procedures and offshore standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in

Engineering

  • or a related technical discipline
  • **Minimum 5–10 years’ experience**
  • as a Planning Engineer in offshore oil & gas projects
  • **Proven experience on jack‑up rigs and/or semi‑submersible rigs**
  • (newbuild, upgrade, refurbishment, or life extension)
  • Strong working knowledge of
  • rig construction sequences
  • , including offshore-specific constraints
  • Advanced hands-on experience with

  • Experience working within
  • shipyards, fabrication yards, or offshore EPC projects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary schedules
