The Emirates Reliability Program monitors and enhances maintenance effectiveness by analysing technical data and identifying trends. We produce Reliability Reports to guide improvements in aircraft safety and cost-efficiency, adhering to aviation regulations.
We manage ETOPS, RVSM, and Autoland reliability, lead Fleet Reliability meetings, and recommend actions for program optimization. By developing and tracking reliability metrics, we address emerging issues and support fleet performance.
The Planning Engineer - III, will effectively supervise and develop the functions within Reliability & Data Integrity & Standards Group (DISG) sections for all aircraft types, engines and components. Carry out the preparation, planning, technical reviews, analysis, verification, regulatory and performance reporting of key airworthiness tasks, reliability information, thereby ensuring that the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards of quality and airworthiness as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual.
In this role, you will:
Be part of change programmes by engaging in projects and project teams designed to create and implement positive change and proactive change culture.
Administer the day-to-day work program of the unit, evaluate the quality of the work, continually review systems and procedures to ensure efficient running of allocated activities, consistent workload distribution and implementation of necessary improvements.
Ensure that the section is represented in meetings and escalate any issues that will affect and delay the implementation of the modifications of any relevant programme.
Supervise and organize team resources to ensure staff is properly trained, guided, motivated and developed to perform its day to day duties in order to meet continued fleet growth requirements, system enhancements, improved working efficiency and increased productivity and performance standards. Also supervise the improvements with process and procedures when implementing the use of new technologies across the Department.
Conduct detailed analysis of system defects for the assigned fleet type when alerts are exceeded, Initiation of reliability issues based on technical delays data, Pilot reports (PIREPS) and aircraft incidents review.
Supervise the Component and Systems reliability for the assigned fleet type reporting and review the reports to spot trends and conduct in-depth analysis to review the findings and assess the root causes. Initiate workflows to highlight the same for ensuring corrective actions.

Conduct Rogue unit analysis for the assigned fleet type in accordance with established procedures, ensure timely updates of the workflow and dashboards for monitoring.
Conduct Extended Twin Engine Operating Procedures (ETOPS) reliability analysis, monitor and calculated in-flight engine shut down rates and highlight adverse trends.
Conduct analysis to support the Reliability Committee Meetings with in-depth statistical and trend analysis and also conduct root cause analysis to ensure that appropriate measures can be taken by concerned stakeholders. Where necessary be able to create the necessary reports, dashboards and presentations.
Conduct analysis and review of reliability data integrity challenges and provide results for further actions. Conduct analysis of maintenance tasks and modifications effectiveness and all ad hoc requests by stakeholders to ensure that a comprehensive review of reliability status and or data integrity challenges are addressed proactively.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
Engineering Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical subjects Mechanical / Avionics / Electronic / Technical Engineering or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's License.
5+ Years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Aircraft scheduling, Reliability, Asset Management or as a Modifications Engineer ideally on Emirates fleet types.
At least 2+ Years in an MRO or Airline environment, and managing people and performance.
Detailed understanding of aircraft / power plant systems and components.
Detailed knowledge of aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentation.
Fully conversant with MSG 3 logic and MRB deviation.
Sound knowledge configuration control and management.
Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office). Knowledge of ULTRAMIAN is an advantage.
Detailed knowledge of Asset Management function in relation to aircraft End-Of-Lease activity with Lessors. Knowledge of MROs is an advantage.
