TransX Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Planner Level 1 to join our Operations Department.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the daily regional plan for the specified areas.
Primary daily tasks involve identifying assets and allocating them to the freight in a cost effective, efficient manner, whilst both meeting customer requirements and aiding in the success of our drivers.
It is the planner’s responsibility to ensure all freight is covered to service on time, and all available drivers are planned.
A planner is expected to “own” the region and know what is going on within the area at all times.
include overseeing all aspects of truckload transportation, optimizing routing and scheduling, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role manages and coordinates transportation resources to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and builds a high-performing team through development and succession planning.
Building strong relationships with CSRs, customers, dispatchers, and drivers is key for the planner as well, and will help the individual to flourish in this position.
