Reporting to the Senior Pit Technician, the Pit Technician is responsible for ore quality in the open pit, whilst maintaining a safe work environment for you and your team.

This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8/6, 7/7 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ore spotting

Collect, package, record, and dispatch samples from blast holes, grade control holes, the crushing and screening circuits or stockpiles.

Complete accurate recording of samples and sample sheets

Strong communication skills

Experience using a two-way radio

Previous working experience in a similar role is highly regarded

Ability to work with minimum supervision

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software
