Job Description
The role is for a Piping Designer working on project design and technical documentation.
The stated location is Chennai, and the role requires at least one year of relevant experience.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 1 year of relevant project work experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop 2D and 3D designs.
- Prepare piping GA, equipment GA, structural GA, and plot plans.
- Develop and review isometrics as per GA and P&ID.
- Create 3D models for equipment, piping, structures, pipe supports, and instruments.
- Use specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, diagrams, line lists, and supplier information for modelling.
- Check designs against safety requirements, codes, standards, data consistency, and clashes.
- Prepare layouts and review vendor drawings and 3D models.
- Document meetings, job progress, construction completions, and validation reports.
- Prepare design bases and project technical documents.
- Incorporate project and customer feedback into design clarifications and modifications.
- Deliver accurate drawings and documentation on schedule.
