Role overview
Develop and implement pipeline pigging programs across all company assets to support pipeline integrity, reliability, safety, and optimized budgets.
The role reports to the Head of Pipeline and Subsea and has no direct reports.
The role involves frequent contact with onshore and offshore operations, logistics, engineering, maintenance teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.
Core responsibilities
- Plan and execute maintenance and inspection pigging campaigns throughout each year.
- Coordinate campaign timing and interfaces to minimize disturbance to base business activities.
- Oversee contractors and onshore/offshore operational and maintenance interfaces.
- Document campaign plans, execution, lessons learned, and contractor interface requirements.
- Support remote techno plug installations for pipeline isolations, including cleaning, bi-directional, caliper, and related activities.
- Review ILI pigging reports and lead contractor follow-up through final report issuance.
- Verify corrosion monitoring activities, including monthly fluid analysis, data collection, analysis, reporting, and follow-up.
- Provide technical guidance to project groups and support NFPS and NFE projects as requested by management.
Improvement and administration
- Develop proposals for technology enhancements, work process efficiency, and cost optimization within the Pipeline Integrity Management System.
- Maintain historical pigging data and communicate pigging reports to concerned parties.
- Prepare the pigging budget and direct invoicing and cost logging for pigging activities.
- Contribute to the development of Qatari employees as an employment accountability for expatriate employees.
Role requirements
- Ensure pigging activities comply with company safety, health, environment, and quality policies, regulations, and standards.
- Coordinate effectively with onshore and offshore operations, logistics, engineering, and maintenance departments.
- Manage contractor interfaces and review technical inspection results through final reporting.
- Apply pipeline integrity and corrosion monitoring practices, including fluid analysis and data interpretation.
