Responsibilities
- Work with patients to identify physical problems
- Develop and review treatment programmes
- Assist patients with joint and spinal problems, especially following surgery
- Help patients' rehabilitation following accidents, injury and strokes
- Supervise physiotherapy assistants
- Write patient case notes and reports
- Collect patient statistics
- Educate and advise patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions
- Work as a professional member of a multi disciplinary rehabilitation team
- Ensure physiotherapy equipment is adequately maintained
- Participate in continuing education and courses
- Participate in quality management system and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- Experience as a physiotherapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or hospital setting
- Ability to develop and review treatment programs
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise physiotherapy assistants
- Knowledge of evidence based practice

Typical work activities

- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise physiotherapy assistants.
- Knowledge of evidence based practice.
