The Post-Acute Rehabilitation Physiotherapist will provide specialized physiotherapy to patients admitted to the hospital's post-acute rehabilitation unit.
The role supports mobility, functional independence, and quality of life after acute illness, injury, surgery, or neurological events.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Deliver interventions to improve strength, balance, mobility, gait, and functional independence.
- Apply Neuro-Developmental Treatment and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation techniques as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
- Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation objectives, mobility strategies, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy is required.
- A valid DOH physiotherapy license or registration is required.
- Certification in NDT and PNF is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in neurological, inpatient, or post-acute rehabilitation settings is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is required.
