The HIMS Administrator maintains and manages patients' electronic medical records.
The role includes quantitative and qualitative record analysis and compliance with Joint Commission International accreditation and DOH/DHA standards.

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital is described as a state-of-the-art hospital serving Abu Dhabi's Northern Emirates.

Responsibilities
- Review patient medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Analyze physician documentation and identify missing information or deficiencies.
- Issue deficiency notifications and follow up with responsible physicians.
- Validate authorizations and process medical information release requests.
- Scan, upload, and maintain patient records in the EMR system.
- Investigate and merge duplicate medical record numbers.
- Respond to inquiries and support healthcare professionals, patients, and authorized external agencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree in Health Information Technology is required.
- At least three years of progressive career experience is required.
- Experience in Health Information Management or a Medical Records Department is required.
- Ability to utilize health information system software is required.
- Knowledge of Protected Health Information is required.
