Responsibilities
- Treat patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, disability or ageing
- Develop and review treatment programs comprising manual therapy, movement, therapeutic exercise and technological equipment
- Supervise physiotherapy assistants and aides
- Write patient case notes and reports
- Educate patients and carers on prevention and improvement of conditions
- Participate in multi disciplinary rehabilitation team meetings
- Ensure physiotherapy equipment is maintained and liaise with HOD for supplies
- Comply with OSH and infection control policies
Requirements
- Physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience in treating patients with physical difficulties
- Knowledge of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems
- Ability to supervise physiotherapy assistants

Job Overview
- Physiotherapists treat patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, disability or ageing.
- They work with patients to identify and improve movement and function, and assist rehabilitation by developing and restoring body systems.
Responsibilities
- Undertake duties in accordance with NMCRH KC policies and physiotherapy profession standards.
- Work with patients to identify physical problems.
- Develop and review treatment programs.
- Assist patients with joint and spinal problems, especially post surgery.
- Help patients' rehabilitation after accidents, injury and strokes.
- Supervise physiotherapy assistants.
- Write patient case notes and reports.
- Collect patient statistics.
- Educate patients and carers on prevention and improvement.
- Work as a professional member of a multi disciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Communicate effectively with staff, health professionals, clients and family.
- Supervise and instruct Physiotherapy Aides.
Requirements
- Physiotherapy degree or equivalent
- Experience in treating patients with physical difficulties
- Knowledge of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems
- Ability to supervise physiotherapy assistants
