About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Doha is seeking a People and Culture Operations Manager to join its People and Culture team.

The role is based at Mandarin Oriental, Doha and is responsible for maintaining and strengthening the People and Culture department in line with the group's culture and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Work with departments to meet hotel recruitment needs and manage vacancies within budget and operational requirements.
  • Manage colleague procedures for starters, transfers, promotions, variations, and leavers.
  • Oversee daily People and Culture operations, workflow, planning, and departmental activities.
  • Implement and annually update the compensation program.
  • Maintain headcounts in line with agreed departmental budgets.
  • Administer disciplinary and grievance procedures with the Director of People and Culture.
  • Provide HR support to department heads and colleagues in support of hotel business objectives.
  • Maintain colleague relations and follow corporate and hotel People and Culture policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Qatar legislation relating to People and Culture.

Requirements

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in hospitality, hotel or business management, or human resources.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a five-star hotel environment.
  • At least 2 years as a People and Culture Manager, or 3 years as an Assistant People and Culture Manager or equivalent.
  • International experience with GCC and/or Doha is preferred.
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication.
  • Ability to learn and apply local laws effectively within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ability to work with multicultural teams.
