Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salaries, allowances, deductions, and benefits
- Verify attendance, leave records, and overtime calculations before payroll processing
- Support in calculating statutory deductions such as loans, advances, and other adjustments
- Ensure accurate entry of payroll data into the accounting or payroll system
- Assist in preparing salary statements, payslips, and payroll summaries
- Maintain confidentiality of employee salary and personal information at all times
- Reconcile payroll accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies
- Support the finance team in posting payroll entries into the accounting system
- Assist in preparing payroll reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with company payroll policies and internal controls
- Coordinate with HR for employee data updates, new joiners, and exits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Knowledge of MS Excel and basic payroll processing functions
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome to apply
