Payment & Back Office Processing Specialist

Role Overview

Back Office Processing

• Monitor daily deposit and withdrawal transactions across PSPs and payment channels.
• Process and verify transactions accurately within required service-level agreements.
• Identify failed, pending, rejected, or unusual transactions and escalate technical or processing issues.
• Monitor PSP balances and transaction limits, and coordinate on delays, investigations, chargebacks, and settlements.
• Support activation, deactivation, and configuration of payment methods.

Payment Integration

• Understand PSP and payment gateway integrations, including API-based payment processing.
• Work with technical teams during integration and testing of new PSPs and payment methods.
• Support UAT testing for deposits, withdrawals, callbacks, transaction statuses, and payment confirmations.
• Validate transaction data across PSPs, internal systems, and CRM or back-office platforms.
• Identify integration discrepancies and coordinate resolution with technical teams and PSPs.

Reconciliation and Reporting

• Perform daily reconciliation between PSP reports and internal or CRM records.
• Validate transaction statuses, amounts, currencies, fees, and settlement information.
• Investigate unmatched or missing transactions and identify root causes.
• Prepare daily and weekly payment and reconciliation reports.
• Track outstanding settlements and PSP balances, and maintain accurate payment movement records.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in payment operations, PSP operations, payment processing, fintech, or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of payment processing and payment lifecycle management.
• Practical knowledge of PSP or payment gateway integrations and API-based payment flows.
• Experience with deposit and withdrawal processing and back-office or CRM transaction processing.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, filtering, reconciliation, and data analysis.
• Ability to work with large transaction datasets, identify discrepancies, solve problems, meet deadlines, and work in shifts.

Technical Knowledge

• Relevant technical knowledge includes payment statuses and lifecycle, payment reconciliation, chargebacks, payment investigations, CRM or back-office systems, Excel or Google Sheets, and UAT.
• Experience with multiple PSPs or payment methods and managing integrations from testing through production is highly preferred.
