The role involves surface preparation, color matching, and maintaining tools and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks.
- Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match colors to achieve the desired finish.
- Ensure proper coverage, smooth finish, and high-quality workmanship.
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths or masking materials.
- Inspect completed work for quality and make necessary touch-ups.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and use of PPE.
- Coordinate with supervisors or project managers to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter in construction, maintenance, or related field.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to work at heights and handle physical tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
