Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all painting and finishing operations within the production facility.
- Supervise painters, polishers, finishers, and surface preparation teams.
- Ensure luxury grade finishing standards across VM displays, retail fixtures, furniture, signage, and bespoke production items.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for painting, coating, polishing, texture application, and finishing processes.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely project delivery.
- Coordinate closely with production, fabrication, carpentry, metal, acrylic, and project management departments.
- Conduct quality inspections and approve final finishes before dispatch.
- Manage paint booth operations, drying processes, and finishing equipment.
- Optimize material usage and minimize wastage while maintaining premium quality standards.
- Handle color matching, texture development, and specialty/custom finish execution.
- Ensure full workplace safety compliance and adherence to environmental and operational standards.
- Train and mentor painting department staff on techniques, quality standards, and productivity.
Requirements
- 8–15+ years of experience in luxury visual merchandising, retail production, custom furniture, exhibition, or fit out manufacturing
- Proven track record leading a painting or finishing department in a high volume production environment
- Deep expertise in PU painting, automotive grade finishes, matte/gloss/high gloss coatings, wood finishes, metallic finishes, and textured/specialty coatings
- Strong knowledge of acrylic and metal finishing techniques
- Expertise in spray systems, compressors, paint booths, sanding, polishing, and curing systems
- Strong understanding of luxury retail quality standards and brand compliance
- Excellent leadership and production management skills
- Ability to read production drawings and finishing specifications

Job Objective

Education & Experience
- 8–15+ years of experience in luxury visual merchandising, retail production, custom furniture, exhibition, or fit out manufacturing.
- Proven track record leading a painting or finishing department in a high volume production environment.
- Technical degree or vocational qualification in industrial painting, surface finishing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with premium international brands is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read production drawings and finishing specifications.
- Experience managing deadlines in high volume, fast paced production environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in PU painting, automotive grade finishes, matte/gloss/high gloss coatings, wood finishes, metallic finishes, and textured/specialty coatings.
- Strong knowledge of acrylic and metal finishing techniques.
- Expertise in spray systems, compressors, paint booths, sanding, polishing, and curing systems.
- Strong understanding of luxury retail quality standards and brand compliance.
- Excellent leadership and production management skills.
- Strong problem solving and organizational abilities.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members across all skill levels.
